Were we to solve Einstein’s formula E=mc2, for m we would obtain the expression m=E/c2. However, both E (which stands for energy and c (which stands for the speed of light in vacuum) are quantities which refer to waves, with the latter referring exclusively to EM waves.
How is it possible for quantities which refer to waves to define the mass of a material particle, if this particle is not comprised of EM waves?
In that case, how is it possible for particles, if they are indeed comprised of EM waves that propagate at a speed equal to c, to be able to stay at rest?
The questions above are particularly simple, yet, the answers are devastating.
I believe that humankind will never cease to be fascinated by how Nature actually works.
